Celebrate Dia de los Ninos / Dia de los Libros with a very special Storytime celebrating Dia with songs and a puppet show at 10am. The celebration will continue at the library at 3:30pm with a game of Loteria, piñata making, and a writing workshop. The celebration will conclude with a Fiesta at the Park located across the library. Bilingual picture book, “Book Fiesta!” by Pat Mora will be read by Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia’s representative and Mayor Robert Amparano. A copy of the book will be on display through a StoryWalk®. Moi fa Martial Arts Institute will open the celebration with a Lion Dance, Ballet Folklorico Danzas Mexico and Mariachi Mixteco will perform throughout the fiesta and traditional food and drinks will be available. Additional activities in the park include free mini-express train rides and fun at the splash pad. Every child who attends the Fiesta will receive a free book while supplies last. |
