Children’s book author Anika Aldamuy Denise will join us for a special story time with her book Planting Stories: The Life of Librarian and Storyteller Pura Belpré. Learn about the life and work of Puerto Rican children’s librarian and storyteller Pura Belpré, oral traditions, and folktales. A puppet-making workshop will follow, where you can make your own Cucarachita Martina and Ratoncito Pérez’s puppets. Registration required. |
