Performer Alina Maleski & the Fiesta will perform "Fiesta in Mexico" which will include stories, doll display, lectures from culture to costumes, and dance of Mexico. Will perform dances and teach easier ones. The importance of the library will be mentioned as well as books being the source of lifelong learning. Following the performance, there will be a book giveaway along with a Mexican Folk Art flower art activity and Dia-inspired bookmark-making (for their new book)! This program is in honor of Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros, a national initiative designed to bring literacy and cultural awareness to children of all backgrounds. Suitable for ages 5 and up with a caregiver. |
