Search to see how libraries across the country are providing excellent outreach services

Add my library’s outreach program to the database

Libraries across the country are providing outreach services in a variety of ways. Here you’ll find information on their programs and activities which range from: bookmobile services, to having special activities at senior centers, to multicultural programming, to training on computer usage and the internet, to providing coping/life skills programs, to summer reading programs, to having book and/or film discussions, to having national heritage celebrations, to projects partnering with government and community organizations.

The one thing that these activities have in common is that they provide services to traditionally underserved populations. This website is an opportunity to showcase the value of libraries in the 21st century and the people who work so diligently to bring these programs to life. Please feel free to take any of the ideas you see here back to your own library.

If your library is providing any type of outreach service and you would like to share what you are doing with your colleagues, please fill out our story form.
